WAYNE HERNANDEZ is one of those fantastic singers who has been using his considerable talents for many years to make others sound good. Hugely successful within the music “business” he has worked with the likes of Tina Turner, Gorillaz, Tori Amos, Blur, Grover Washington, Roberta Flack and Madonna. He has also toured extensively with Kool and the Gang and Regina Bell. With an Afro Cuban heritage which includes work to this day with the London Community Gospel Choir, along with living in New York for a number of years, Wayne describes his music as “…a living fusion of music styles from the Black music scene”. This multi-talented artist, he is also a well established songwriter and producer, produces a brilliant set of powerful groove music that defines the word “Soul”. A rare talent and absolutely not to be missed.
“ was clear that Wayne had a very special talent, his voice, it was simply breathtaking”

Having been one of Australia’s busiest singers, Kim relocated to the UK in 1999 where she quickly became established in London’s professional music scene. Aside from singing on countless jingles worldwide, her recording and/or live performance credits also include performing with the Bee Gees, Michael Bolton, Neil Diamond, Puff Daddy and Natalie Cole. Kim regularly has performed at prestigious venues such as The Dorchester, The Lancaster, The Langham Hilton, The Savoy, Park Lane Hilton, Waldorf Hilton, Café Royal, London’s Guildhall, The Landmark, The Four Seasons, The Intercontinental, Grosvenor House, Banqueting House, and a myriad of stately homes in the Home Counties. Kim started off her career singing jazz and it’s always remained a part of her performing life. She has had the opportunity to perform in some of London’s best jazz clubs such as The 606 Club, The Spice of Life and ‘Jagz’ Jazz Club.

Austrian born bass player Stefan Redtenbacher has, over the last 10 years, established himself as the UK’s “groove” bass player of choice for many artists, both live and recorded. The roster of artists with whom he has worked includes Steve Winwood, Sam Brown, Herb Alpert and Danny Gotlieb. His own recordings feature “Jazz/funk” legends Fred Wesley and Elliot Randall (Steely Dan) and he has also established himself as a producer and educator of some note. The band that he leads tonight is his 5 piece “Funkestra”, the name of which pretty accurately describes the high energy and style of the music. Boasting some of the best players in Europe this band performs original “groove” music with an authority and style that is hard to beat.

A terrific singer in the Soul/R&B tradition Imaani’s cv is long and impressive. She first came to prominence as the UK’s 1998 entrant to the Eurovision Song contest (one of the better choices!) where she was runner up and went on to produce a highly successful single that charted around the World. More recently she has completed 5 World tours as lead singer with the iconic band “Incognito” with whom she has had a long association. A powerful and charismatic vocalist this is a rare chance to hear this brilliant singer perform.

The “Queen” of studio and backing vocals you may not know Mary’s name but you will certainly have heard her fantastic voice. Her powerful, soulful vocals have been heard with the cream of the Jazz, Soul, R&B and Pop world, including the likes of Lionel Ritchie, Grace Jones, Chaka Khan, Courtney Pine, Mica Paris, Beverley Knight, Culture Club, Marcella Detroit, Donna Summer, Roy Ayres…..the list goes on. As well as more than 15 years as a studio singer Mary has also featured as a lead vocalist with a number of “Groove” and Dance bands, most notably the band “Up Yer Ronson” (who thought of that name?!). The 2004 release of “Young Hearts” with Kujay Da Da once again brought Mary to the forefront of the Dance Music industry, culminating in her show stopping performance at the 2004 House Music Awards. After many years of making other singers sound good Mary has finally decided to step in to the limelight with her own band, much to the delight of those of us who have known and admired her work for so long. So, if you like great Soul and “Groove” vocals then you definitely have to make it to this gig, you won’t be disappointed, I guarantee it!

is the genuine godfather of British soul – a singer-songwriter with a voice like honey who’s long and distinguished career has seen him working with some of the biggest names within his chosen genre.
For his debut album Brighter Day - on recently launched soul label Tri-Sound – McKoy draws on a host of influences from Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to Chaka Khan and The Beatles. He weaves an impressive collection of soul, gospel, funk and northern soul into a cohesive masterpiece. Production duties were undertaken by, amongst others, pop-soul legend Ian Levine and the brains behind Incognito, Bluey Maunick.

Damien's unique talent has seen him play prestigious venues from Ronnie Scott's to the The Royal Albert Hall, The O2 and Wembley Arena. He has recently toured with Tom Jones and worked with Professor Green on MTV and Radio 1 projects, and in the past year has appeared on numerous TV shows including Later With Jools Holland, Strictly Come Dancing, The Jonathon Ross Show and The Graham Norton Show.
