MONDAY FEBRUARY 17| 8:30pm | £10

HAYLEY SANDERSON is a remarkable singer who performs an impressive blend of Jazz, R&B and originals with a deft ease that led her to being a resident singer on BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” as well as a favourite at the 606 Club. Tonight she will be performing with her band as well as acting as “Master of Ceremonies” for the evening’s entertainment, featuring three groups personally championed by Hayley for their distinctive personality, style & talent.

Opening the night will be Hayley’s own band “THE STYLOPHONES”, a unique outfit which Hayley leads that presents a selection of original songs and quirky covers with irrepressible charm. But as well as presenting her own band we have asked Hayley to “curate” the evening by bringing along some artists new to the Club that she feels deserve greater recognition. Sharing the bill with Hayley tonight will be PURDY, ROYAL ORGAN DUO & THE RISE.

So, over to Hayley to best describe the evening:  “Bored of your average singer/songwriter nights? Fancy something a bit different?  We want to take you to the underground, a place where the music evolves in front of your very eyes! 'The Stylophones' are a unique outfit that perform a selection of originals songs and quirky covers, delivered with a Tarantino-like quality, this band certainly sets the scene... and we are also championing interesting performers, writers and artists! For this our second presentation we have some fabulous guest appearances that you're not going to want to miss. So, this month The Stylophones present…

Purdy - This impressive vocalist oozes charisma combined with sultry vocals in what is sure to be a masterful performance. With influences ranging from Nina Simone to Nancy Sinatra, Purdy is now working with legendary music business manager Alan McGee (Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine) and has a bright future ahead of her indeed.

The Royal Organ Duo - Originally formed back in 2001, this self-styled “Funk-Rare Groove-Lounge-Jazz-Psychedelic” duo is full of surprises! Comprised of only a drummer and organ player this will be a journey through an eclectic mix of music: expect the unexpected.

The Rise - Two voices and two guitars. Hailing from South London, acoustic duo Anthony Goldsbrough and Michael Gazzard take inspiration from an assorted mix of bands including Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, The Goo Goo Dolls, Bob Dylan and The Who. As they put it themselves “We are all about heart, soul and acoustic guitars”.

With this and more up our sleeve, there's something for everyone, from weird to wonderful, you can't go wrong!” This unusual night is on the leading edge of the UK jazz scene, so expect refreshing surprises and twists and turns galore.
