The Impossible Gentlemen 606 Club Chelsea Live Music Jazz London UKWith two brilliant musicians from the UK and two from the US, this multi-award-winning band has been described as producing “inspirational, dazzling, melodically enthralling music”. Gwilym Simcock is a multi-award-winning pianist, generally considered to be the finest UK musician of his generation. Voted “Jazz Musician of the Year” at the 2007 Parliamentary Jazz Awards he was described by iconic US pianist Chick Corea as a “genius” and has worked extensively throughout Europe with the cream of British and international jazz artists. Salford-born Mike Walker is widely regarded as one of Europe's most exciting guitarists. From his early work with Mike Gibbs that lead to a long term association with the great Kenny Wheeler, Mike has been impressing all that have heard him with his lyrical, fluent and dynamic playing. US-born drummer Adam Nussbaum moved to New York in the mid 70’s and was soon working with the likes of the iconic saxophonist Sonny Rollins. Since then he has worked with Dave Liebman, John Scofield, Gil Evans, Stan Getz, Eliane Elias/Randy Brecker, Gary Burton, Toots Thielemans, Carla Bley and John Abercrombie. He also toured with Michael Brecker, with whom he recorded the Grammy-winning "Don't Try This At Home". Classically trained Illinois-born bass player Steve Rodby includes the likes of Joe Henderson, Roy Haynes, George Coleman, Zoot Sims, Lee Konitz, James Moody, Johnny Griffin and Monty Alexander on a stellar CV. However, he is probably best known for his 30-year association with the iconic Pat Metheny Band. In addition to his playing, Steve is an award-winning producer and currently has 13 Grammys to his name. This is a remarkable band comprising of some of the finest jazz musicians in the world and a rare chance to hear them in the intimacy of a club venue.
