Ben Crosland Quintet (Album Launch)
With a series of wonderful albums already to his name, bass player, composer and arranger Ben Crosland returns to the Club to release his latest ‘Solway Stories’ dedicated to his late mother. The music is a set of highly crafted, melodic compositions inspired by Ben’s trip to Solway Firth which has been described as “quietly understated but deeply compelling” and “a celebration of…wide open spaces…optimistic, warm”. Album of the Week on Jazz FM, it has also been featured on BBC Radio 3, BBC Scotland, Jazz London Live and Dublin City FM. Ben has assembled a top calibre group of musicians to bring this music to life, including trumpeter Steve Waterman, guitarist Chris Allard, keyboardist Steve Lodder and drummer Dylan Howe.
