It's fair to say that guitarist/producer Paul Stacey  has reached iconic status amongst 606 regulars! As well as working with rock luminaries Noel Gallagher, the Black Crowes, Steven Wilson & more, he is also a fabulous jazz guitarist (to which his time with Claire Martin and Wayne Krantz attests), while lately his playing is an integral part of the Royal Scammers, the renowned tribute to Steely Dan.

Paul will be joined on the stand by three remarkable musicians, keyboardist Jim Watson, bassist Laurence Cottle & drummer Jamie ‘Drumcat’ Murray.  Jim has been featured in a huge variety of bands, including the Jazz/Funk groups “Incognito”, Brand New Heavies and “US3”, as well as with James Moody, Dave O’Higgins, the BBC Radio Big Band, Katie Melua and Manu Katché. A bass legend, Laurie has played with and/or produced jazz artists such as Mornington Lockett, Jim Mullen, Tim Garland and Claire Martin, as well as working with musicians from the popular music sphere including Bill Bruford’s Earthworks, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and Black Sabbath. Jamie ‘Drumcat’ Murray is widely tipped as one of the most talented players of his generation, and has become the drummer of choice for Shez Raja, Emily Francis, Brandon Allen and more. This formidable lineup will flex their contemporary jazz & fusion muscles drawing from classic Metheny, Brecker, Lyle Mays, Avishai Cohen and the like as well as favourite jazz standards -an All-Star band of the highest calibre.

“Stacey’s…brilliant guitar work” Concertlivewire; “Only a lifetime of absorbing the originals could enable Paul Stacey to embody Larry Carlton, Denny Dias, Jeff Skunk Baxter, Steve Khan and Elliott Randall on the same night. His frankly incredible rendition of Randall’s wild solo on Green Earrings… had this audience on its feet” London Jazz News; “Watson…his McCoy Tyner-like percussive chords & torrential right hand lines were a standout” Guardian; “[Cottle]… is simply one of the most incredible bassists I've ever heard” Global Bass; "The most disrespectful drummer in London, a bonafide disruptor out to defeat aggressive mediocrity" Jazz FM
