Alex Bryson Trio
Fluent and original, jazz pianist Alex Bryson initially studied in London before moving to the US to continue his studies, where he soon became a fixture as a highly regarded young pianist on the NY jazz scene. Now back in London his much anticipated debut album “The Alexander Bryson Trio” was hailed as a triumph and the follow up, "Live at Mike's", showcased not only his impressive jazz piano playing but also his very impressive singing & songwriting skills! His poignant and often wryly comical songs present reflections on love and romance and draw inspiration from the American Songbook, Musical Theatre, Country, Blues and more. The trio tonight, featuring Ben Love-bass & Joe Dessauer-drums, will perform a selection of Alex’s songs alongside some of their favourite jazz standards.
