Alex Clarke
A finalist in the 2020 BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition, winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and nominee in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2021, Alex Clarke is amongst the most in-demand and versatile young saxophonists emerging on the British jazz scene. Her fluent, melodic, style and warm, round, tone fit perfectly with the straight-ahead jazz standard and bebop repertoire she performs. For this 606 debut as leader, Alex will be joined by Sean Fyfe-piano; James Owston-bass; and the renowned Clark Tracey on drums (five-time winner of the British Jazz Award for Best Drums among many other accolades).
