Dulcie May Moreno
Influenced by the likes of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday & Sarah Vaughan singer Dulcie May Moreno is emerging as a versatile jazz artist with range and poise. Over the last 10 years she has performed on a regular basis around the UK, with notable performances from London and Canterbury to Newcastle and Edinburgh. Tonight she will be appearing at the Club with her quintet featuring Steve Fishwick-trumpet, whose fluent, melodic playing has been heard with a who’s who of jazz greats, including Anita O' Day, Ron Carter, Peter Erskine & Cedar Walton. Along with Stephen Bridgland-guitar, Jerome Davies-bass and Matt Home-drums they will perform a mix of her excellent jazz-influenced originals alongside, as she says “carefully curated classic standards by some of my greatest influences”.
