Signed to the highly regarded German label ECM since 2012, Swiss-Albanian singer Elina Duni’s hallmark combination of traditional Albanian folk songs and jazz has resulted in worldwide critical acclaim. Elina’s latest project features guitarist & BBC New Generation Artist Rob Luft, hailed as one of the rising stars of London’s flourishing contemporary jazz scene who is currently a BBC New Generation Jazz Artist and was nominated for both Parliamentary & Jazz FM prizes. With echoes of West African high-life, Celtic folk and textural minimalism, Luft’s playing finds an ideal counterpart in Elina Duni’s expressive vocals.
