Fran McGillivray Band
The Fran McGillivray Band is an experienced trio of musicians, Fran McGillivray-vocals/bass guitar, Mike Burke-guitars/vocals and Roger Nunn-drums/percussion, who have been performing their particular take on Roots music for some years now. Combining Americana, Blues and Folk/Rock they have spent many years honing their craft and have developed a unique and impressive empathy on stage, performing at many major festivals in Europe and the UK and sharing the bill with the likes of Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello. Exciting and compelling performers, their vibrant original songs are complemented by soulful, dynamic and powerful interpretations of songs that inform their deep love of Roots Music. Their latest album "Rain" was number 10 in the BluesBlues top 40 Americana + albums of 2022, while Cerys Matthews interviewed Fran and played tracks from the album on her BBC Radio 2 Blues Show. This is the band’s first gig here at the Club so do come down and support these fine musicians.
