Italian-born vocalist Francesca Confortini brings sophistication and warmth to everything she does. With a background in musical theatre and international experience as a singer for the likes of Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) and gypsy-jazz ensembles Trio Manouche and Gypsy Dynamite as well as her own trio Jazz Silhouettes, her career highlights include performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Barbican. Fran also holds a Masters in Jazz from the Guildhall and is a vocal and performance teacher at the International Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). A fine songwriter herself, we'll be hearing a mix of Fran's own songs as well as favourites from the jazz & pop worlds. Featuring Chris Bland-piano; Giulio Romano Malaisi-guitar; Giovanni Cresseri-bass & Daniele Antenucci-drums, without a doubt Francesca is one to watch!
