Hungarian Music XChange: Daniel Szabo with special guest Iain Ballamy
Between 1997 and 2006 the brilliant multi award-winning Hungarian pianist/composer/educator Daniel Szabo, now based in Los Angeles, won the International Jazz Piano Competition, the Gábor Füsti Balogh Talent Contest, the Jas Hennessy Solo Piano Competition and the “Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Contest”. He also received the ASCAP/Symphonic Jazz Orchestra Commissioning Prize in 2018 and in 2022 was mentored by Chick Corea to perform Chick's jazz piano concerto alongside John Patitucci and Dave Weckl.
