Katharine Timoney
Katharine Timoney is one of Ireland’s most compelling contemporary voices, equally at home with modern jazz or soul. Known for her emotive storytelling she draws her influences from icons such as Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse and Gregory Porter. A recipient of the BBC Young Musicians Platform Award and a winner of the UK Songwriting Contest, her music has earned critical acclaim and international playlist support, including airplay on BBC Radio 2 with Jamie Cullum, Jazz FM and Swiss Jazz Radio. Her upcoming EP 'All This Time' (due out in September) explores contemporary themes with honesty and depth. With recent standout performances at Cheltenham Jazz Festival & Cork Guinness Jazz Festival and a growing international presence, Katharine Timoney is definitely one to watch!
