Lunchtime Special: 606 Gospel Lunch featuring Anu Omideyi
After a successful 14 year career as a criminal barrister, in 2015 Anu Omideyi felt the call to focus full-time on her music ministry. Beginning by leading, writing for, producing and directing the award-winning gospel outfit The Reapers Choir, their debut album, “Light Through the Tunnel” was released in November 2015 to critical acclaim and numerous radio plays worldwide. Following on from that success the choir, under Anu's leadership, has performed at prestigious venues around the UK, including the likes of The Royal Festival Hall and The Royal Albert Hall. Her latest project and debut EP "The Worship Must go On" was released at the end of 2018, once again to significant critical acclaim, with the song “Restore the Joy” being highlighted as Premier Gospel radio’s track of the week. A soul-stirring, passionate and energetic singer/songwriter, choir director and worship leader Anu will be performing songs from the EP alongside other gospel favourites, ably assisted by her friends Nicky Brown, Shanelle Sinclair and Tunji Dairo, all supported by her superb band. And don't forget, children are more than welcome.
