The wonderful Natalie Williams has been appearing here at the Club for over 10 years, going from a young upcoming Soul/R&B singer to established artist. With a ten-year residency at Ronnie Scott’s leading her “Soul Family” Sundays through appearances at International festivals such as Montreux, Rochester (New York), Jakarta and the Blue Note Tokyo Nat has established herself as one of the finest singers on the UK scene. Her two-year stint as a lead vocalist in Incognito brought her worldwide acclaim and as a lead artist in her own right Natalie has performed at the Cheltenham, Manchester, Love Supreme and London Jazz Festivals. As well as Jazz and Groove she also includes work with the likes of drum and bass icons Goldie and Nu:Tone and her own output of soul and R&B resulted in her receiving a MOBO nomination. As well as classic jazz and groove standards the music this evening will also focus on her originals from her album “Kaleidoscope”. As Nat describes it "The writing draws from all of my musical influences over the years; Jazz, soul, classic singer-songwriter with a touch of blues and country...It feels like a new dress I never want to take off". And ably assisting her tonight will be her fantastic band, featuring Rob Mullarkey-bass, Phil Peskett-piano, Al Cherry-guitar and James Maddren-drums. Special singer, special gig.
“One of the UK’s hottest singers…she effortlessly moves from soul-diva to sensual and sophisticated jazz.” Time Out; “a commanding...presence” Telegraph; "incredible” Jamie Cullum
