Join us for an intimate afternoon showcase celebrating four exceptional artists — E J Seal, Carrie Hamilton, Christelle Désiré and APRILLO — all preparing to release new music on singer-songwriter Sarah Gillespie’s label, Pastiche Records. This special afternoon offers an early glimpse into the next chapter for these bold and distinctive voices, each bringing their own unique sound, story and artistry to the stage. Joining the artists will be an outstanding house band featuring Joel Barford on drums and Chris Montague on guitar — plus a few very special guests including incredible Beat Poet Bronzie with Paul Silva - sax.
E J Seal
Inspired from an early age by icons including Mick Jagger, Chrissie Hynde and Joan Armatrading, E J Seal began making music at just 11 years old. After fronting London bands The Daffs and Mash — recording and touring before life took her in another direction — she is now returning with her debut solo album: bold, original and entirely on her own terms. Unapologetic, distinctive and full of heart, E J Seal is making music for her people — and everyone is welcome.
Carrie Hamilton
An established jazz singer, flautist and songwriter, Carrie Hamilton has performed across the UK, Jersey, France and the Caribbean, collaborating with leading ensembles and artists including the BBC Big Band, Claire Martin, Clare Teal and Cleo Laine. With rich musicality, warmth and effortless sophistication, Carrie brings world-class artistry and soulful presence to every performance.
Christelle Désiré
Blending soul, jazz, gospel and R&B, Christelle Désiré writes songs inspired by real people and real moments, shaped by the effortless charm of her Paris banlieue upbringing and her Martinican heritage. Her sultry vocals, subtle Creole inflections and piano-led arrangements create music that feels intimate, uplifting and unmistakably her own. Her acoustic set will offer a preview of forthcoming releases, including her debut single I Am My Hair.
APRILLO
APRILLO is a singer-songwriter who discovered life is too short not to share the music playing in her head — so now she does. Her sound feels like a DJ set of songs with soft corners and room to breathe: textured, spacious, emotionally rich and quietly magnetic. Honest, fresh and beautifully understated, APRILLO creates songs that linger long after the last note.
