PURDY Photo 1

We welcome Purdy back to the Club once again with what promises to be yet another fantastic night of masterful pop/jazz-influenced originals, with a smattering of standards thrown in for good measure. This outstanding singer oozes charisma, which combined with her sultry style and surefooted vocal delivery makes for a masterful evening of highly accessible music. With influences ranging from Nina Simone to Nancy Sinatra, her vocal prowess is stunning and her live performances demonstrate a strong connection with any audience lucky enough to see her live. She has impressed at a number of major events, including a 90,000 strong crowd at Wembley Stadium, Formula One events around Europe, The London Lifestyle Awards 2016 and made quite an impact as support on Jools Holland's last tour. Her 2015 album “Diamond in the Dust” affirmed her as a significant solo artist, and the word on the street is that her upcoming EP “Both Sides of the Clown” (which we’ll be hearing songs from tonight) will continue that upward momentum. Purdy also just released a double A-Side vinyl recording, "Too in Love with Love” featuring the song, “How Did You Do That”, which she recorded at Abbey Road with full orchestral accompaniment. The music is a mix of originals and some covers and is at the singer/songwriter end of the musical spectrum. The night wouldn't be complete without her brilliant supporting band, featuring the talents of Tim Sentance on piano, Jamie McCredie on guitar and a rhythm section of Tom Moore on bass and Dan Western on drums. Worth booking for this one.

"Purdy is a consummate artist, old soul, young heart, witty and alluring. A musical feats of emotions" Time Out; "Great character, unique voice, a true artist" Alan McGee, Creation Records;
