Small World Band featuring Gina Foster
This evening we feature The Small World Band with their fantastic guest singer Gina Foster. Gina, a truly gifted and impressive singer, is renowned as one of the most soulful session vocalists around. She has worked prolifically in jazz, R&B, Groove, pop and dance music with high profile artists including Eric Clapton and Sinead O’Connor but is probably best known for her many years working with the iconic group “Swing Out Sister”. The Small World Band is a 4 piece band consisting of Bobby Quigley-guitar, Chris Dodd-bass, Richard Bailey-drums and Pete Eckford-percussion who between them have worked with the likes of Us3, Will Young, Cliff Richard, Jeff Beck, Incognito, Steve Winwood, Percy Sledge, Hamish Stuart and Imaani amongst many others. They describe themselves as having "a tasteful modern take on classic Groove derived from the languages of Jazz, Blues & Soul". The combination of this brilliant band and one of the finest singers in the country promises a Groove night to be savoured. Highly recommended.
